Barcelona star Lionel Messi has revealed that he wants to continue playing at the top level for "many more years" as he closes in on the La Liga goalscoring record.
The Argentine, 27, needs three more goals to overtake Telmo Zarra's tally of 251 strikes and become the all-time leading marksman in the Spanish top flight.
Messi could achieve this feat when Barca host Eibar on Saturday, on the 10th anniversary of his debut in the first team, but the Argentine will not be stopping there.
He said on his Facebook page: "I just want to keep getting better and win more titles for the team.
"I hope I have many more years ahead of me," he added. "I really want to keep winning and growing. I hope it continues for many years.
"I always enjoy wearing the Barca colours on the pitch, along with every beautiful moment."
Four-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi has scored 249 goals in 283 La Liga appearances.
