Sunderland are contemplating a loan move for Barcelona youngster Alen Halilovic, according to reports.
The 18-year-old Croatian signed for the Blaugrana's B side on a five-year deal at the end of last season.
According to the Daily Mail, coaching staff at Camp Nou believe that the midfielder is ready to step up a level by going on loan, with the Black Cats reportedly interested.
Halilovic, who is said to also be on Celta Vigo's radar, has previously been compared to Lionel Messi by Croatia legend Davor Suker.
