No fracture for Jon Aurtenetxe

Jon Aurtenetxe escapes serious injury in Celta Vigo's 3-0 defeat to Barcelona on Tuesday.

An X-ray has revealed that Jon Aurtenetxe did not suffer a fractured leg in Celta Vigo's 3-0 defeat to Barcelona on Tuesday evening.

The defender, who is on loan at Celta from Athletic Bilbao, was forced off in the early stages of the second period with what appeared to be a serious injury.

However, it is understood that the left-back has not suffered any serious damage to his right leg, but further tests will be carried out this afternoon to determine the extent of the damage.

Aurtenetxe, 21, made 27 league appearances for Bilbao last season, but joined Celta on a loan in the summer.
