Ernesto Valverde: 'La Liga title not secure'

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde insists that his team have not yet secured the La Liga title despite their strong lead at the summit.

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has insisted that his team have not yet secured the La Liga title despite their strong lead at the top of the division.

The Catalan giants came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with Sevilla on Saturday night, which was a result that kept their unbeaten 2017-18 league campaign in tact.

Barcelona are currently 12 points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid approaching the latter stages of the season, but Valverde has said that his team still have work to do in order to reclaim the crown.

"La Liga? We don't see it as ours yet, rather much less so. We want to compete until the end of the season," Valverde told reporters.

Barcelona will host Roma in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night before returning to league action at home to Leganes next weekend.
