Xavi hails "perfect" Sergio Busquets

Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi, who now represents Al-Sadd, claims that his former teammate Sergio Busquets is currently the best midfielder in the world.

Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi has paid tribute to Sergio Busquets, branding the Spaniard "a perfect player".

Xavi, who now represents Al-Sadd, played alongside Busquets at Camp Nou for seven seasons, before leaving for pastures new at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Busquets has been widely lauded for his performances over the past 12 months and Xavi has claimed that on current form, the 27-year-old is the best midfielder in the world.

"Busquets is the best midfielder at the moment. He's a perfect player," Xavi told Marca.

Busquets has made more than 350 appearances for Barcelona since stepping into the first-team picture in 2008.
