How Barcelona could line up against Leganes

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Tuesday night's La Liga clash with Leganes.

Barcelona will be looking for their third La Liga victory in succession when they welcome relegation-threatened Leganes to Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

The Spanish champions recorded a 4-0 win over Mallorca on their return to action at the weekend, which moved them five points clear of second-placed Real Madrid at the summit.

The gap could be back to two heading into Tuesday's clash, though, as Madrid will have the chance to close the gap when they play their first game after lockdown against Eibar on Sunday night.

Barca have won their last five La Liga fixtures at Camp Nou, while they recorded a 3-1 victory over Leganes in the corresponding match during the 2018-19 campaign.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Quique Setien's side could line up on Tuesday.

Barca will again be without the services of French attacker Ousmane Dembele due to a long-term hamstring injury, but Clement Lenglet - suspended against Mallorca - is available to return for the champions.

Setien's side lost another defender at the weekend, though, with Jordi Alba's fifth booking of the season meaning that he will be banned for Tuesday's clash with Leganes.

Junior Firpo should come into the side at left-back, while Lenglet is expected to replace Ronald Araujo despite the 21-year-old's impressive performance at the weekend.

Arturo Vidal's goal against Mallorca should see him keep his spot alongside Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong in midfield, while Luis Suarez is in line to return to the starting XI.

Suarez featured off the bench on Saturday after recovering from knee surgery but could be given the nod alongside Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann in the final third of the field.

Sergi Roberto is also expected to keep his spot at right-back ahead of Nelson Semedo, whose future continues to be called into question ahead of this summer's transfer window.
