Barcelona: 'Rafinha, Adriano to pen new deals'

Barcelona pair Rafinha and Adriano have both agreed new contracts at the Camp Nou, according to the Spanish club's sporting director Robert Fernandez.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has revealed that Brazilian pair Adriano and Rafinha are both close to extending their contracts at the Camp Nou.

Adriano, 30, has been with the Spanish giants since 2010, making more than 100 league appearances after moving from Sevilla.

The left-back was strongly linked with a move away from the Catalan club in the summer transfer window, but according to Fernandez, he will now extend his deal at Barcelona.

Rafinha, meanwhile, returned from a loan spell at Celta Vigo last summer and went on to make 36 appearances in all competitions last term as Barcelona won the treble.

"I can say that we're more or less in agreement [with Adriano and Rafinha]," Fernandez told Esport 3.

Rafinha, who is still just 22, is expected to extend his deal until 2020, but Adriano's fresh deal could be shorter.
