Barcelona are reportedly preparing to open contract talks with Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The 27-year-old has made over 200 appearances for the Spanish champions since arriving from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014, and he has been the club's number one goalkeeper since 2016.
Ter Stegen's current deal at Camp Nou still has little under three years left to run, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are ready to open negotiations over a new contract.
However, the same report claims that an announcement is not expected until 2020 when the Catalan giants will have room in their budget to sign off on the deal, which will include a rise in salary.
Ter Stegen has only kept three clean sheets in 11 La Liga outings this season, shipping 14 goals in the process, with Ernesto Valverde's side far from their best over the last few months.
The Germany international made 127 appearances for Gladbach ahead of a switch to Barca.
