Barcelona reportedly join the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan in the race for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Barcelona have reportedly joined the race for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Vidal joined Bayern from Juventus in 2015, and has helped the club win three straight Bundesliga titles during his time at the club.

The 31-year-old will see his current deal expire at the end of next season, however, and it is understood that Bayern are prepared to sell ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been credited with an interest, while Inter Milan are also believed to be in a strong position for the Chile international.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are considering a late approach, with head coach Ernesto Valverde wanting more midfield options following the summer exits of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.

Vidal, who recently had surgery on a knee problem, scored six times and registered two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions during the 2017-18 season.
