Barcelona have reportedly withdrawn their interest in Matthijs de Ligt due to the Ajax defender's wage demands.
The Catalan giants have been heavily linked with the 19-year-old for a number of months, partly due to having already secured a deal for the youngster's teammate Frenkie de Jong.
However, Paris Saint-Germain entered the race for the centre-back at the end of the most recent campaign, showing a willingness to trump any offer made by Barcelona.
According to Marca, the La Liga champions have little interest in paying what they perceive to be over the odds for De Ligt.
The report suggests that the Netherlands international was looking to receive €12m (£10.73m) per year, something which Barcelona were not prepared to pay for a player of his age.
Meanwhile, another report is claiming that Juventus have emerged as De Ligt's most likely destination.
