Barcelona 'renegotiating Clement Lenglet deal'

Barcelona are attempting to renegotiate a deal for Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly attempting to negotiate a deal for Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet, with the Spanish champions unwilling to pay the Frenchman's full release clause.

The 23-year-old moved to Seville from Nancy last summer, and impressed during his first season in Spain - scoring four times in 54 appearances in all competitions.

Barcelona reportedly held positive talks with the centre-back last month, but Manchester United were also said to be in the running for Lenglet's signature.

Lenglet is believed to have chosen Barcelona over United, with Sevilla confident of receiving the defender's full release clause, which stands in the region of £31m.

However, according to AS, Barcelona are currently attempting to sign the Frenchman for a lower price as the Spanish champions want to avoid paying a hefty tax bill on the buy-out clause.

Lenglet's arrival could see Colombia centre-back Yerry Mina leave Camp Nou this summer, with the 23-year-old strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.
