Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on signing Miralem Pjanic from Roma this summer.
The 26-year-old is contracted to the Giallorossi until 2018, but is understood to have a €38m (£29.7m) release clause that Barca are willing to meet.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claims that a deal could be done this summer, with Barca boss Luis Enrique keen to reunite with the midfielder following their time together at Roma.
Pjanic had previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, but Barcelona are now thought to be in pole position to sign the Bosnia international.
Pjanic joined Roma from Lyon in 2011 and has since gone on to make more than 150 Serie A appearances for the Italian club.
