Eduardo Berizzo expecting to keep Nolito at Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo is confident that Nolito will remain at the club this summer, despite reported interest from Barcelona.

Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo has said that he expects Barcelona target Nolito to remain with the club beyond the end of the transfer window.

Nolito, 28, has fast developed into one of the best forwards in Spain and hit 13 goals and 13 assists in La Liga last season.

Barcelona have been strongly linked with the Spanish international as a replacement for Pedro, but Berizzo is confident that Nolito will remain in Vigo, despite the player previously admitting that he would consider a move to Camp Nou.

"We're counting on [Nolito] to stay with us, and hopefully August 31 will be an uneventful day," Berizzo told reporters.

Should Nolito move to Barca this summer, he would not be eligible to represent the Catalan outfit until January 2016 due to their transfer ban.
