Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez plays down suggestions that Neymar could engineer a move away from Camp Nou.

Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez has said that it is 'not the club's intention to lose good players' in response to suggestions that Neymar could leave Camp Nou.

It has been claimed that Neymar could seek a move away from the Spanish giants as he looks to step out of Lionel Messi's shadow.

The report from Spain suggests that the advice to leave Barcelona has come from one of the 25-year-old's representatives, but Fernandez has played down rumours that the Brazil international could leave the club.

"It's not our intention to lose players, certainly not good players. We try to improve within the confines of what is possible. We've not had any offers for any players in our squad," Fernandez told reporters.

Neymar joined Barcelona from Santos in the summer of 2015, and the attacker has scored 105 goals in 186 appearances for the Spanish giants - landing two La Liga titles, three Copas del Rey and one Champions League in the process.
