Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro plays down Barcelona talk

Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro distances himself from rumours linking him with a summer move to Barcelona.

Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro has insisted that he is happy at the Estadio Ramon amid reported interest from Barcelona.

The Frenchman is currently enjoying his best season with Sevilla, hitting 25 goals in 49 appearances for the Europa League holders.

It is understood that Barcelona are interested in bringing the 28-year-old to Camp Nou this summer, but Gameiro has claimed that he still has unfinished business at his current club.

"Barcelona? I still have two years left at Sevilla. I am calm and happy at Sevilla. People love me in Seville, it's good for me for my qualities. I want to get more done with this group," Gameiro told RTL's Club Liza.

"This club has given me a lot of confidence and I'm only thinking about giving my best at Sevilla."

Sixteen of Gameiro's 25 goals this season have come in La Liga, while the striker also has five in 11 European appearances.
