Real Sociedad sporting director Loren has admitted that the club are waiting for an answer from Jonathan dos Santos over a possible loan move to the club.
It is believed that Barcelona have granted the Mexican permission to make the move to Sociedad, but the 23-year-old has not yet revealed his plans publicly.
"It is the player that has to take the next step. There is much respect for Barcelona, whilst we also respect the decision made by the player in August and we do not feel entitled to stir an issue that is closed," Loren told reporters at a press conference.
"It is down to the player to say that he wants to come here to us. That is the only way. We will not make a move. The fact is that we are closer to is it is Jonathan or nothing."
Dos Santos has struggled for first-team football with Barcelona this season.
