AS Monaco have poached highly-rated winger Jordi Mboula from Barcelona on a long-term deal after activating a release clause in his contract.
The Ligue 1 champions had been closing in on the 18-year-old in recent days after being left impressed by his performances last season for Barca's academy side.
Mboula, capped at age-grade level by Spain, reportedly cost Monaco £2.6m to purchase and becomes the latest young talent added to their burgeoning ranks.
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev told the club's official website: "Jordi Mboula has shown very good things with the youth team of FC Barcelona and AS Monaco offers him an ideal environment to continue his progress.
"As we have done with players such as Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Tiemoue Bakayoko, we will support him and help him grow in our team."
Mboula, under contract at the Stade Louis II until 2022, joins Youri Tielemans, Jordy Gaspar, Diego Benaglio and Soualiho Meite in joining the principality club this summer.
