Mateo Musacchio quells exit rumours

Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio says that he is not interested in leaving the Yellow Submarine.

Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio has insisted that he is not interested in leaving the Yellow Submarine at the end of the season.

The Argentine's performances over the last nine months have reportedly drawn a host of outside interest, with Barcelona one of a number of clubs monitoring proceedings.

However, the 23-year-old has said that he is "not going anywhere" this summer.

"I'm not going anywhere else, I'm happy here and I'm not thinking about leaving this club. I don't worry about rumours, or get sick about these kinds of things," Inside Spanish Football quotes the centre-back as saying.

"This is a club I could stay with for life, as they give me everything, they help me and they're one of the best clubs in the world I could be at."

Musacchio has two international caps to his name.
