Neymar 'expected in Paris to complete transfer tomorrow'

Barcelona attacker Neymar will reportedly travel to France to complete his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow.

Barcelona attacker Neymar will reportedly travel to France tomorrow to complete his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Barca today confirmed that they have accepted a payment of €222m (£198m) from Neymar's representatives, triggering the release clause in his contract at Camp Nou.

It is understood that the 25-year-old will pay the sum himself and be reimbursed by PSG - possibly through their Qatari owners as part of a deal to make Neymar an ambassador for the 2022 World Cup.

PSG are currently gearing up for the Brazilian's presentation, although details for it are still being finalised and the unveiling itself may not take place tomorrow.

The deal is set to smash the previous transfer record of £89m, set by Paul Pogba moving to Manchester United last summer.

PSG host Amiens in their opening match of the new Ligue 1 season on Saturday.
