Neymar plays down Premier League switch

Barcelona forward Neymar says that he is not planning to follow former teammate Alexis Sanchez by signing for a Premier League club.

Neymar has insisted that he has no plans to follow former Barcelona teammate Alexis Sanchez to the Premier League.

Arsenal swooped to bring Sanchez to England from Camp Nou last summer after the Catalan side signed Luis Suarez from Liverpool.

Neymar has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea, but the Brazil international says that he is happy to stay in La Liga.

"Alexis is a big friend and someone who I had the privilege of playing with at Barcelona," The Mirror quotes Neymar as saying. "We used to get along very well on and off the field, so I'm very happy to see him so well at Arsenal.

"As for playing in England myself, I'm very happy playing for Barcelona and I still have a long road to walk here."

Neymar has scored 26 goals in 37 appearances for his club this season.
