Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in talks with Neymar about the Brazilian extending his current contract, with the 27-year-old said to be open to remaining in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly begun talks with Neymar about a new contract with the Ligue 1 champions, with the Brazil star said to be open to renewing his current deal.

The 27-year-old joined PSG from Barcelona for a world record fee in 2017, but has continually been linked with a return to Spain.

According to the Daily Mail, the two parties have opened discussions over a new deal, with Neymar happy and settled in the French capital.

The report adds that the former Santos forward is still subject to interest from Barcelona and that the Blaugrana were said to be weighing up a bid.

Neymar has made 73 appearances for PSG since his arrival, scoring 64 goals.

However, the French giants have not gone past the last 16 of the Champions League in either of his previous two seasons, losing out to Real Madrid and Manchester United respectively.
