Report: Barcelona to push through Douglas move

A report claims that Barcelona will secure the signing of Sao Paulo defender Douglas next week.

Barcelona will reportedly tie up a move for Sao Paulo defender Douglas next week.

The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Catalan outfit this summer, with head coach Luis Enrique believed to be keen to deploy the Brazilian at right-back.

FIFA recently upheld the Spanish side's two-window transfer ban, meaning that they have until the end of the month to add fresh blood to the squad.

According to Sport, the full-back will officially arrive on a long-term deal next week.

Douglas's arrival is expected to push Dani Alves towards the exit door.
