Barcelona are reportedly looking into signing Joao Felix as part of a swap deal that would see Antoine Griezmann return to Atletico Madrid.
The Catalan giants face a huge few months as they attempt to pick up the pieces from a poor 2020-21 campaign under Ronald Koeman, who may yet be replaced.
TV3 suggests that Felix is being targeted as part of a squad overhaul, despite the forward's minimal impact since effectively replacing Griezmann at Atletico.
Felix joined from Benfica in a £113m deal two years ago and has scored and assisted a combined 19 goals in 57 La Liga appearances.
That compares to 32 direct goal involvements for Griezmann in 40 league outings for Barca since his £108m arrival in July 2019.
With both players costing around the same amount, it is claimed that a straight swap may be proposed.
Atleti require a victory at Real Valladolid on Saturday to guarantee top spot in La Liga ahead of Real Madrid, while Barca can finish no higher than third.
