Barcelona will reportedly move for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi in January.
Despite a transfer ban, the Catalan outfit were able to sign both Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan in the summer transfer window.
Neither Vidal or Turan can feature until January, but it is understood that the Spanish giants are still intent on signing new players when their ban is officially lifted.
Mustafi has a release clause in the region of £37m, but according to Radio Esport Valencia, Barcelona believe that they can tempt Los Che into a sale with an offer of £22m.
The 23-year-old, who only signed a five-year deal with Los Che last summer, has previously admitted that he is flattered with reported interest from Real Madrid, who are also said to be keeping tabs on the defender.
It is understood that Jeremy Mathieu could be made surplus to requirements in the next transfer window, should a deal for Mustafi be completed.
