Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes on a free transfer next summer.
The 31-year-old is widely expected to depart the Spanish champions in July 2014 when his current deal comes to an end.
Club president Sandro Rosell has recently revealed that the club are still hopeful of convincing Valdes to sign a new deal, but it is understood that the Spaniard is unwilling to change his mind.
According to Sport, that has attracted the interest of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is a keen admirer of the experienced stopper.
The move could see Thibaut Courtois, who is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, travel in the opposite direction.
