Robert Lewandowski reportedly informs Bayern Munich that he has no intention of signing a new contract at the Allianz Arena.

Robert Lewandowski has reportedly decided that he will not extend his Bayern Munich contract past the end of next season.

The legendary forward has enjoyed another remarkably productive campaign, contributing 49 goals in all competitions and helping Bayern continue their dominance in the Bundesliga.

However, with the Poland international's contract due to expire in 2023, the opportunity is seemingly there to take on a new challenge with Barcelona said to be admirers of the frontman.

Although it has previously been claimed that Bayern have no intention of cashing in on the 33-year-old this summer, Goal says that Lewandowski has no intention of penning fresh terms at the Allianz Arena.

The report suggests that the long-serving player is unhappy with club officials for failing to make much progress at the negotiating table before the closing weeks of the campaign.

Bayern must now decide whether to keep Lewandowski for the remainder of his contract or consider any acceptable offers, potentially bringing Barcelona into play as they eye up signing another proven goalscorer as competition for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
