Pep Guardiola impressed by Bayern Munich trio in emphatic triumph

Pep Guardiola praises Douglas Costa, Kingsley Coman and Joshua Kimmich after Bayern Munich's 5-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has singled out three of his players for praise following the emphatic 5-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

Robert Lewandowski continued his fine form with a hat-trick against the Croatian visitors, but Guardiola was keen to pay tribute to summer signings Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa.

"We did not allow them any counter-attacks," the Spaniard told reporters. "With Coman and Costa our game is even more flexible and better as we can use the whole space of the pitch. Therefore we are able to create even more chances for our attacking players."

Joshua Kimmich delivered an impressive display in the centre of midfield as Guardiola made changes to offer the 20-year-old a rare opportunity from the start.

"Kimmich also impressed me. For sure we will see him in the Germany squad one day. He really has everything needed to become a great player," the Bayern boss added.

Bayern now turn their focus to Sunday's Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund.
