Manuel Neuer has urged his Bayern Munich teammates to produce a swift response to the surprise 4-1 defeat to Wolfsburg.
After going unbeaten throughout the first half of the season, the champions were left stunned as their closest challengers stormed to an emphatic victory.
However, Neuer believes that hosting Schalke 04 at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening will give Pep Guardiola's side the perfect opportunity to recover from a below-par display.
"Obviously it's a bad start to the second half of the season. It's not how we imagined it. It's not a disaster, but we know we still have a lot to do," the German goalkeeper told reporters.
"We have to put it behind us and look forward. A midweek game is just what we need right now. It'd be no good if we had to wait eight days until our next game. Now we have to get our act together."
Bayern still hold an eight-point advantage at the top of the Bundesliga table.
