Arjen Robben has revealed his delight after scoring on his return to the Bayern Munich side in the 4-0 victory over FC Koln.
An adductor injury picked up on international duty with Netherlands has kept the winger out since the start of September, but he was fit enough to earn a start as Bayern claimed their 1,000th win in the Bundesliga.
Robben opened the scoring as Pep Guardiola's side extended their winning run in the league to 10 games, but he admits that he did not expect to start so well on his comeback.
"You always have to wait and see. I was very happy to be back on the pitch," he told reporters.
"I think I was surprisingly good right from the start, but I have been training well and I felt good. To score the first goal was a nice reward for the hard work I've put in. When you win 4-0, the day is even better."
Bayern now switch their focus to Tuesday's DFB-Pokal clash with Wolfsburg.
