Besiktas president Fikret Orman has confirmed that his club want to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius on a permanent deal.
Karius signed a two-year loan deal with Besiktas during the summer, and the Turkish giants have the option to buy the German permanently in 2020.
Last month, it was claimed that Besiktas wanted to 'send Karius back' after being unhappy with the German's form this season.
Orman, however, has insisted that "these stories are complete nonsense" and has branded the 25-year-old "an excellent keeper".
"Karius is an excellent keeper, God willing we will sign him on a permanent transfer. These stories are complete nonsense. Give Karius some time is all I'm saying. Karius has a lot of work to do but give him time," he told Harberle.
Karius has conceded 16 goals in 11 appearances for Besiktas this season.
