Birmingham City come from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw at home to Club Brugge in the Europa League.

Birmingham City came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw against Club Brugge in the Europa League this evening.

David Murphy almost gave the home side the lead after 30 minutes, but his free kick struck the edge of the post from 20 yards out.

The visitors went ahead against the run of play at the end of the first half when Thomas Meunier found himself in space to volley home from a corner.

It was 2-0 at the break as Joseph Akpala provided a simple finish from Vadis Odjidja's cross after Jean Beausejour had given the ball away in midfield.

Birmingham began their comeback on 55 minutes when Jean Beausejour fired in after Nikola Zigic's shot had fallen to him in the box.

The hosts were level 20 minutes later when substitute Marlon King struck home from the spot after Beausejour had been fouled in the area.
