Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's Championship fixture between Blackburn Rovers and Peterborough United.

Blackburn Rovers welcome struggling Peterborough United to Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon looking for a win to close the gap on the top six in the Championship.

Michael Appleton's Rovers have not won in four and were defeated 3-0 by Leicester City on Tuesday evening to dent their hopes of reaching the playoffs. They are currently seven points adrift of sixth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion.

Peterborough sit bottom of the table and are four points away from safety going into the game, following defeats in their last two matches.

Blackburn striker Leon Best, who has yet to feature for the club after injuring his knee in the summer, will have a late fitness test ahead of the match. Colin Kazim-Richards is also struggling with an ankle injury.

Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson could name the same side which were beaten 1-0 at Bolton Wanderers in midweek.
