Blackburn Rovers have signed defender Alex Baptise on a season-long loan from local rivals Bolton Wanderers.
The 28-year-old made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Trotters last season, but does not seem to be in Dougie Freedman's plans for the upcoming campaign.
Bolton have allowed Baptiste, who can play at centre-back or full-back, to move across Lancashire and become Gary Bowyer's third recruit of the summer following the arrivals of strikers Luke Varney and Chris Brown on free transfers.
Baptiste joined Bolton a year ago from Blackpool, for whom he made 190 appearances in five seasons, including 21 during their single term in the Premier League under the management of Ian Holloway.
