Blackpool manager Neil McDonald has insisted that he is not interested in reuniting with Sam Allardyce at Sunderland.
McDonald was Allardyce's assistant at both Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United, but said today that he is happy in charge at Blackpool and not considering a move to the North-East, where Allardyce is back in management with the Black Cats.
He told reporters: "This is my turn and I'm proud to be Blackpool manager.
"I've been a huge support to Sam over the last six years at Blackburn and West Ham but I think it's my turn. I've worked hard to get my chance and I'm working hard at Blackpool to get things right on the pitch."
Blackpool are in League One's bottom four but have won two on the bounce to edge away from the foot of the table.
