Brett Ormerod is reportedly poised to reject a £15,000-per-year contract offered by Blackpool.

Fans' favourite Brett Ormerod has reportedly been offered a £15,000-per-year contract by Blackpool.

The 35-year-old, who has scored in every division of the Football League for the Tangerines, was officially released by the club last month.

The Lancashire outfit were hopeful of retaining the player but he is likely to turn elsewhere after being offered less than £300 per week, according to The Mirror.

In March, Robbie Fowler's proposed move to Bloomfield Road collapsed after the former England international was said to be angered at being offered a basic wage of £100 per week.
