Ex-Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce close to Blackpool move?

Former Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce will reportedly feature for Blackpool in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Morecambe.

Former Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce has reportedly started training with Blackpool ahead of a possible move to the League One side.

The 35-year-old was offered a new contract by Wigan this summer, but opted to leave the Latics in search of a better deal.

According to the Blackpool Gazette, the Barbados international will feature for the Tangerines in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Morecambe today.

Last season Boyce made 27 Championship appearances as Wigan joined Blackpool in being relegated to the third tier.
