Bolton Wanderers lead Wolverhampton Wanderers at half time in their Championship clash thanks to strikes from David Ngog and Marcos Alonso.

Bolton Wanderers lead Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 in their Championship clash at the Reebok Stadium.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when David Ngog gave them the lead in the third minute after he pounced on the rebound from Dorus de Vries parry of Craig Dawson's header.

It got better for Dougie Freedman's side minutes later when Medo Kamara's shot was deflected into the path of Marcos Alonso, who drilled the ball into the net.

Wolves almost got a goal back immediately but Kevin Doyle's looping header clattered off the bar with Bolton keeper Adam Bodgan beaten.

Bolton responded and De Vries did well to keep his side in the game, first to deny Lee Chung-Yong then minutes later he made a good stop to save a Marvin Sordell effort.
