The London Chest Hospital confirm this morning that there is no change in Fabrice Muamba as the midfielder remains in a critical condition.

A joint statement from the London Chest Hospital and Bolton Wanderers has confirmed that there have been no changes in the critical condition of Fabrice Muamba.

The former England Under-21 has been in intensive care since Saturday evening after he suffered a cardiac arrest during the Trotters' FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur.

A statement read: "Fabrice Muamba's heart condition is stable but he remains critically ill in intensive care at the London Chest Hospital. The family is grateful to the media for continuing to respect their privacy at this time."

Muamba's fiancee, Shauna, took to Twitter to thank fans for their continuing support and requested that everyone 'keeps praying' for the 23-year-old as he fights for his life.
