New Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman takes full charge of his first game, with the Championship's top side Cardiff City his opening test.

Freedman watched from the stands as Bolton were defeated 2-1 at Middlesbrough on Saturday, which has left his side sitting precariously above the drop zone in 18th.

Malky Mackay oversaw another comprehensive Cardiff victory when his side beat Burnley 4-0, but this will be a different test entirely for his charges.

Freedman could well stick with most of his attacking options, although he might be tempted to rejig a leaky defence. Mackay, on the other hand, has no reason to make many changes.
