Mats Hummels has signed a one-year extension to his current deal at Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund confirmed on their social media channels that the central defender will stay at the club until the end of next season at least.
The club captain could lift the Meisterschale this weekend if Dortmund get the win they need over Mainz to seal a first Bundesliga title since 2012.

At 34, Hummels has played in 29 of Dortmund's 33 Bundesliga games this season, but could miss the final game after suffering a blow to the head in their win at Augsburg on Sunday.
Hummels was a regular during Dortmund's two previous title-winning campaigns in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as winning three more after joining Bayern Munich in 2016.
Dortmund have been unable to topple Bayern since Hummels returned to the club in 2019, but they are now on the cusp of emulating Jurgen Klopp's side from the early 2010s.
