Half-Time Report: Harry Arter fires Bournemouth ahead against Cardiff City

Championship leaders Bournemouth are on course to win their third game in a row after taking a 1-0 lead into the break of their match with Cardiff City.

Harry Arter's goal has given Bournemouth a 1-0 lead over Cardiff City at the halfway stage of their Championship clash this evening.

The visitors came close to breaking the deadlock in the second minute when Callum Wilson placed Matt Ritchie's cross wide of the post.

They threatened again moments later as Marc Pugh crashed a strike from range against the crossbar.

Craig Noone had Cardiff's first chance of the evening, but his low effort was saved by Artur Boruc.

It only seemed a matter of time until the deadlock would be broken, and in the 16th minute Arter fired a strike into the top corner to give Bournemouth the lead.

The visitors threatened a second goal, and Brett Pitman volleyed over before seeing a header saved by the keeper.
