Bournemouth chairman: 'We'll do Premier League proud'

Chairman Jeff Mostyn praises Bournemouth owner Maxim Demin after the club's promotion to the Premier League was confirmed.

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has said that the club will "do the Premier League proud" next season.

Mostyn was in charge of Bournemouth when they were nearly liquidated in 2009 and has seen the club rise from the bottom to the top division in the last six seasons.

The club is now under the ownership of Russian Maxim Demin, and Mostyn believes that his input was the catalyst for the club's success.

"A special word for Maxim, our owner," he told Sky Sports News. "Without his commitment, loyalty and investment we'd never be able to take this club to such heights.

"It is a dream come true, from the abyss in the Second Division to the Premier League, these guys are just incredible.

"Eddie [Howe] has created a siege mentality and the boys have carried themselves up four divisions against all the odds. They are just magnificent."

Bournemouth's promotion to the Premier League was effectively confirmed after their 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers on Monday.
