Bournemouth have reportedly edged closer to appointing Fulham boss Scott Parker as their new manager.
Following Fulham's relegation from the Premier League, Parker's future at Craven Cottage has been in doubt and it is believed that the 40-year-old has agreed with the club to terminate his contract.
The Cherries' current boss Jonathan Woodgate is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until July 1, but is expected to be replaced by Parker this weekend.
Bournemouth's players are set to return for pre-season testing on Saturday and begin training on Monday, and according to the Evening Standard, the club wish for Parker to have a full summer with his new squad.
Woodgate could not guide Bournemouth through last season's playoffs but Parker has successful experiences in the Championship having guided Fulham to Wembley success in 2020.
The 2021-22 Championship campaign begins on the weekend of August 7 and Bournemouth will welcome West Bromwich Albion to the South Coast on the opening day.
