Bournemouth relieved to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn expresses his relief at the club complying with the Football League's Financial Fair Play regulations.

Championship leaders Bournemouth have expressed their relief at complying with the Football League's Financial Fair Play regulations.

The Cherries confirmed this morning that their losses for the 2013-14 season were below the permitted £8m, while Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest failed the test and have been placed under a transfer embargo.

"Given all the recent speculation surrounding Championship clubs who may or may not fail the test, we can at last move on and concentrate on the task ahead, to maintain our position amongst the league's leaders," Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn told the club website.

"I have always remained confident of complying with the Financial Fair Play regulations, and thank our supporters for their patience in awaiting the good news."

Bournemouth lead the way in the Championship by virtue of goals scored from Middlesbrough following Saturday's 5-3 win over Cardiff City.
