Bournemouth 'break transfer record to land Tyrone Mings'

A reports claims that Ipswich Town full-back Tyrone Mings is on the brink of completing an £8m switch to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have reportedly broken their transfer record to beat a number of Premier League clubs to the signing of Tyrone Mings from Ipswich Town.

The 22-year-old, who has also been strongly linked with a move to Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa, is thought to have agreed terms on an £8m switch to the Goldsands.

It is claimed by The Telegraph that the full-back will undergo a medical in the next 24 hours, before putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

As part of the transfer, it is also suggested that Ryan Fraser and Brett Pitman could head in the opposite direction on loan.

Ipswich rejected a £3m bid from Crystal Palace for Mings's services last summer, with his valuation continuing to rise following a stellar personal campaign in East Anglia.
