Brazil name Tite as new head coach

Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade says that Tite has agreed to replace Dunga as Brazil's head coach.

Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade has announced that Tite will become the new coach of Brazil.

Earlier this week, Dunga was removed from his position after Brazil failed to progress to the knockout stages of the Copa America, and the Brazilian Football Confederation has acted quickly to secure the services of the Corinthians boss.

At a press conference, De Andrade said: "Tite will no longer work with [us], he accepted the CBF's offer. Also leaving with him is his son, Matheus, and [football manager] Edu Gaspar.

"I was the first person he told of the decision. Until two hours ago I thought that he wouldn't go, I was surprised."

Tite faces the task of trying to qualify for the 2018 World Cup with Brazil currently sitting outside of the top four in the standings.
