Luis Felipe Scolari successor to be announced next week

Luiz Felipe Scolari's successor as Brazil manager is to be announced next week, the country's football federation has confirmed.

The Brazilian Football Confederation has announced that Luiz Felipe Scolari's successor as national team manager will be unveiled on Tuesday.

Scolari stepped down from his role last week following the Selecao's unimpressive World Cup campaign, which saw them crash out with a 7-1 defeat at the hands of Germany.

A 3-0 reverse against the Netherlands in the third-place playoff compounded the host nation's misery, and Scolari's position was made untenable.

Former Brazil captain Dunga is among the favourites to be named as the new manager next week, along with former Corinthians boss Tite, Sao Paulo's Muricy Ramalho and Brazil Under-20 coach Gallo.
