Ramires: 'Brazil can control emotions'

Ramires believes that the emotions shown by Brazilian players will not have a negative impact on their performances.

Ramires has insisted that the Brazilian players will have no problems controlling their emotions for the remainder of their World Cup campaign.

A number of players have been spotted crying before and after matches in the tournament, but Ramires believes that Luiz Felipe Scolari's side are capable of handling the pressure when it matters most.

"Everybody's talking about the psychological status of our players but I've seen more experienced players crying on the field," the Chelsea midfielder told reporters. "This is just normal in a match decided by pens.

"We had conversations before the World Cup, we're prepared for what comes our way. What we went through in the game against Chile will be extra motivation for us.

"If we have another penalty shootout we'll be even better prepared. We had over 200 million watching the game and supporting us. The team are prepared emotionally for what comes our way."

Brazil take on Colombia in the last eight on Saturday.
