Mark Devlin: 'No approach for Uwe Rosler'

Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin says that the club have not been approached by Wigan Athletic for manager Uwe Rosler.

Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin has insisted that the club have not received an approach from Wigan Athletic for manager Uwe Rosler.

The 45-year-old has been installed as the bookmakers' favourite to replace Owen Coyle, who left the Championship club by mutual consent on Monday.

Devlin believes that Rosler, whose family home is in the North-West, will remain at Brentford.

"Because his family live there it's perhaps a case of people putting two and two together," Devlin told West London Sport.

"We've had no approach for Uwe, he's a big part of our future plans and we know he's very happy here."

Rosler was appointed Brentford boss in 2011.
