Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton insists that his players "are ready" for the challenge of facing Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has insisted that his players "are ready" for the challenge of facing Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Brighton, who are currently 13th in the Premier League table, have not won on their travels in the league since November, and will take on a Palace side desperate for points as the Eagles battle to remain in the division.

Hughton is expecting a tough test this weekend, but the Seagulls manager is confident of securing a positive result.

"The players are ready and they have to be ready. Every game for us, particularly every game away from home, is a very difficult game," Hughton told reporters. "Our performances have been mixed.

"We've had some very good performances away from home this season and some good results. They are the ones that you want to tune into. You can't expect to go anywhere away from home and for it to be a comfortable game."

Brighton have only won two of their 15 away Premier League matches this season.
